Year Six Go Back in Time To The Blitz

During our trip for this half term, we were very fortunate to journey down to one of London’s most iconic buildings – St Paul’s Cathedral.  We had a wonderful time exploring the beautiful building, before going back in time and being introduced ‘Steve’, a member of St Paul’s fire protection team.  He explained how he and his colleagues have been tasked with defending the building against the fires started by German bombers.  He was incredibly funny and entertaining, while also giving us a great perspective of what it was like to live in London during The Blitz.
