Year 6 – Reading for the Day – 22/06/20

I hope you had a great weekend – here is the reading for today.  I really hope you’re still enjoying Wonder – I think it’s brilliant.

LO:  To answer a range of questions in relation to the text

 

Success criteria:

  1. I can underline the key words in the question.
  2. I can identify the key information in the text.
  3. I can answer the question using evidence when required.

 

 Chapter 8 Questions:

  1. What did Auggie like about Mr Tushman’s office?
  2. What do you think Mr Tushman means when he says, ‘I have a feeling I’m called a lot of other things I don’t know about.’ Explain your answer fully.
  3. How does he describe his feelings when he hears other children?  Why do you think he reacts this way?
  4. What does Mr Tushman say to try and persude Auggie everything is okay? Remember to use quotation marks.
  5. What were the names of the pupils introduced to Auggie?
  6. What reason does Auggie give for not loving music as a subject?

Just before he leaves with the children how is Auggie feeling towards his mother?  Why? Please explain your answer fully, using evidence from the text to back it up.
