    Good Morning!
    1. Why does Scott use exclamation marks in his writing?
    Because is warning others and is urgent. Scott is expressing strong felling about the lost Veetarod, also warning others about the deep hole.

    2. Why does Scott underline the word ‘must’?
    Must is like a command word, they have to find the Veeton.
    Underlining the word must, you will concentrate on that important word.

    3. The arch of brick was a tunnel. Can you think of anything else that is shaped as an arch?
    The school entrance is like an arch, or Robin Hoods arch. Above our window we have an arch.

    4. Scott writes that Rodey is a super hero. How does a super hero behave?
    A superhero is a person who does heroic things, what a normal man cant.
    A superhero must be good, kind and loving people.

    5. Replace the word ‘gone’ with a new word, a synonym, that means the same thing.
    Away, is not anymore here. Off. Missing. The floor disappeared.

    6. Think about the whole story so far. Why is it so important that the last veeton is found quickly?
    It is important to find the last Veeton, because Gorwen is fading away and to save Pelamar. Gorwen is very weak now.

      I love the effort you have put into your answers. Keep doing this in Year 3 in our reading lessons!

      I would mark every question as correct. However for Q5, make sure you only write down one answer.

      Also, Ms S and Mary was super impressed with you today in the PE lesson, and for taking home lots of books. Good job Aaron.

    2. Scott underlines ‘ must ‘ because he needs to do it quickly.
    3. A rainbow is shaped as the arch of brick.
    4. A super hero behaves brave,nice and excellent.

    6. It is important because Garwin is fading.

      Q5 – I don’t think I would mark that correct. The best word would be ‘disappeared’.
