Hello there!
Welcome to the fifth week of this half term. There are only three more weeks to go. Can you believe that? Then you’ll be in YEAR THREE!
Don’t forget to keep an eye on all of your plants you started growing two weeks ago. Send a photo to westgreen.yellowclass@gmail.com and Mr Morgan will respond to you….

Here is another list of words that need to be spelt very carefully. They do not follow any normal spelling rules, so they need to be learnt by heart. Your new Purple Mash and MyMaths activities are ready. On Purple Mash you will find a spelling quiz. Remember to practise before you do them!

In Year Three, you are expected to join all the time. Yes, all the time! So I want you to put a big focus on your handwriting today so that I think you’ll be able to do a splendid job when your Year 3 teacher (I wonder who that will be… imagine if it was me again, how crazy would that be!) sees your writing in September.
Please copy everything written in purple onto a piece of lined paper. A piece of lined paper is provided below the writing for you to print out if you need some. Otherwise, take a ruler and make some lines yourself. The missing words come from your spelling list. Figure out where they go!

In the middle of the night it would be cold outside! Brrrrrrrr…
The class stuck out their tongue and screamed when Mr Morgan wore the blue dress for World book day.
Mr Morgan went for a run in the park when suddenly he stepped on the slippery grass and fell on his back!
This has actually happened in real life in a seaside village called Branscombe. It was rather embarrassing!

Hi Mr Morgan,
Mr Morgan went to the bath at night, and his dad woke him up so he found himself on the grass with his dad.😆
