Hello everyone,
*If you haven’t finished your writing from yesterday, please finish it today and send it to westgreen.yellowclass@gmail.com*
I hope you have been playing some extra Times Tables Rockstars this week as part of the London Rocks competition!
At 2 o’clock today, I need Yellow Class to make their biggest effort ever with Times Tables Rockstars! You’ve been practising for this on MyMaths in the last two weeks by knowing all of your 2s, 5s and 10s really well. If they give you any other equations and you don’t know them, don’t worry, just guess and skip to the next question. If you are wrong, it doesn’t matter in the competition. What matters is how many questions you answer correctly, not how many mistakes you make!
This helps us to remember that mistakes are fine. They help us to learn and do even better next time 🙂
If you need help remembering what your password is for Times Tables Rockstars, find it on the blog post below.
Remember, if you play before 2 o’clock, it won’t count as part of the competition. It also won’t count if you play after 7 o’clock! The competition is open until Friday at 7 o’clock, so you can keep scoring points for West Green tomorrow and on Friday as well.
When you log on, you can play GIG, GARAGE, or STUDIO for your points to count.
Good luck! Click the link below and login to play. Just wait until 2 o’clock!

Write a cool fact you’d like to share with everyone else. Anything! Patrick will be checking your cool facts and will be interested to find out what incredible facts Year 2 children know. Mr Morgan is getting better after his surgery too, so if you’re fact is super cool, he might reply to it as well…
Patrick became busy so I will finally reply to these facts! Incredible strawberry facts Saule. Did you know that strawberry sales have increased in the UK this year? People weren’t expecting that to happen because of the health crisis. Events like the Wimbledon tennis tournament usually means people eat strawberries to celebrate, but without the tennis people feared strawberry sales would go down. They were wrong! Strawberries are in demand now more than ever before.

Good morning Mr Patrick,
My cool fact is:
Strawberries are the only fruit that wear their seeds on the outside. The average berry is adorned with some 200 of them. No wonder it only takes one bite to get seeds stuck in your teeth??
*The average strawberry has 200 seeds.
*A strawberry flower averages five to seven petals.
*Technically berries have seeds on the inside and they don’t come from a single ovary, so strawberries are really in a group all their own.
*Strawberries are the first fruit to ripen in the spring.????
