Hello Red Class!
I have been enjoying myself practicing my rhyming. I have read loads of Julia Donaldson books and had a blast finding the rhyming words in her stories. You can hear lots of her stories on You Tube – Click on the link
What’s your favourite Julia Donaldson story? What do like best about it?
The older children at West Green have taken part in competitions for different things. I spoke to Isaac on the phone last week about an amazing poem that he wrote and posted on Tapestry. Isaac, Kate and I all thought it would be BRILLIANT to have our own competition in Red Class – A Poetry Competition!
Watch the video lesson below on Acrostic Poems. The challenge is to write a poem for your name.
I have also added some examples of Acrostic poems below. You can write these poems about ANYTHING – SOOOO MUCH FUN!
