Hello West Green!
It’s Mr Morgan here with a science competition for Years 3, 4, 5 and 6.
The best answer will be one of two scientists of the summer, who will be rewarded with a certificate and a prize in September. If you win and you are in Year Six, the prize will be arranged for you before you finish in July.
The more detailed and scientific your answer is, the more likely you will win. As you are in KS2, you should think about including some facts you have researched in your answer. Think about each animal’s diet, their teeth, their habitat, their unique body parts.
Age will be considered. So Year Six children will be expected to write a lot more than a Year Three child!
You have until Friday July 10th to come up with your best answer.
Sir, I found the answer to which animal is the odd one out. It is the ‘Labradoodle’, because the Lion and Tiger, ‘Liger’ both have the same diet (meat), but one of them live in more of a grassy place, but the other lives in a dryer place. That goes for the Zebra and Donkey, ‘Zeedonk’, they both live in open spaces and the donkey lives in a dryer place and the zebra lives in a grassier place just like the tiger and lion, and their diet is the same diet (Grass). However, the Labrador and Poodle ,’Labradoodle’ They don’t have the same diet, and they live in the same places with owners, but the other animals don’ live in the same habitats. That’s my answer. 😀
Edit: The Lion and Tiger are wild animals, as well as the Zebra and Donkey. However the Labrador and Poodle are both tamed animals and usually live with owners.
Lots of very good points. I really like the last one that you’ve edited at the end.
Nice one 🙂
But sir i didn’t really understand the question until i read his one so i don’t really know what to say because then i’ll kind of be copying him sorry
It’s because the ‘Labradoodle’ looks kind of normal to me so thought it was the answer and I think it is correct 😀
Thanks for answering Tianna. What I will say is that if you want to win, you’ll need to use more scientific vocabulary. Saying a labradoodle “looks kind of normal” wouldn’t cut it in a room full of scientists! Your brother has tried to explain his answer information about diet and their habitats. Give me another scientific reason you think the odd one out could be the labradoodle!
No one knows liger or a zeedonk because no scientist have discovered the two animals so it is a possibility a labradoodle exists.I think the labradoodle is the odd one out.
it’s the ‘Labradoodle’ ( Labrador and poodle ) because ‘Zeedonk’ ( Zebra and Donkey ) and ‘Liger’ ( Tiger and Lion )both have patterns but the ‘Labradoodle’ (Labrador and poodle ) does not have any body patterns.
I think its the labradoodle because I know someone put it into existence.I think it is real news.?
Well I think a labradoodle exists because I know that someone put it in existence.I think labradoodles is real and a liger and a zeedonk is fake.
Oh a zeedonk exists and a labradoodle exists so the odd one out is a liger.
I think the odd one out is the liger because the ‘zeedonk’ and ‘labradoodle’ look like they have natural appearances but the ‘liger’ is both a tiger and a lion.A tiger wouldn’t have a body as fat as a lion.
I would advice that you pick one Weda and then come up with a reason why it is the odd one out! I look forward to seeing your answer.
Thanks,
Mr Morgan
BECAUSE THE ZEEDONG DOESN T HAVE UMM ZEBRA PATTERNS
AND THE LIGER HAVE NO SPOTS ON IT
Weda,if you really want to win I would say that you pick one animal as the odd one out.One of your answers could be wrong so it’s best to pick the ‘odd one outs’ not ‘odd ones out’.
Labradoodles need good sources of carbohydrates, fat, protein, grains or no grains, artificial flavours(Which is good for your labradoodle.),deboned salmon, chicken, turkey(As in animal turkey.),peas and sweet potato.
Excellent. It is good to see that you have done a lot of research!
Zeedonks live in the savannah or in the open woodlands.
Labradoodles teeth are needle thin and they are razor sharp.
Zeedonks tail are medium sized and they have hair on the tip of their tail.
Labradoodles tail is attached to their spine like other dogs and cats.
A zedonk, zebra, zorse, mule and donkey are a kind of horses.
Believe it or not, a zedonk, zebra, mule, horse, zorse and a donkey have a different skull!
I think this is a trick question because all of them exist
