Hello West Green!

It’s Mr Morgan here with a science competition for Years 3, 4, 5 and 6.

Explorify: Which animal is the odd one out?

Zeedonk   Option 1 is a zeedonk. It is a cross between a zebra and a donkey.

Liger   Option 2 is a liger. It is a cross between a lion and a tiger.

Labradoodle   Option 3 is a labradoodle. It’s a cross between a Labrador and a poodle.

All you have to do is tell me which animal you think is the odd one out and you have to tell me why. Please leave a comment to enter the competition. Children in Year Six may be able to answer this in class. Mr Spours could email me your answers.

The best answer will be one of two scientists of the summer, who will be rewarded with a certificate and a prize in September. If you win and you are in Year Six, the prize will be arranged for you before you finish in July.

The more detailed and scientific your answer is, the more likely you will win. As you are in KS2, you should think about including some facts you have researched in your answer. Think about each animal’s diet, their teeth, their habitat, their unique body parts.

Age will be considered. So Year Six children will be expected to write a lot more than a Year Three child!

You have until Friday July 10th to come up with your best answer.
