A message from Patrick- 8th June 2020

Good morning everybody!

Have you all had a good weekend? I have set the new My Maths homework and have complimented that with a fun game on Purple Mash! It is the last chapter of our class book today so go and read that and I look forward to hearing your thoughts on the story!

I hope that you all take part in the rockstars competition that has been set as well! It would be really good to see Indigo well represented and striving to be the winning class!

Today I was hoping that you would be able to tell me some facts about the Anglo Saxons. I know that we did this before so this is a good opportunity to bring it back to your minds! Give me five facts in the comments and try to do it from memory!

Think of King Alfred the Great, King Vortigem and how they lived amongst all the other things we learned. Generally ask yourselves who, what, where, when and why? That is always a good way to build up your statements.

Let me know how this goes and ask any questions about the task in the comment section below!

I hope that you are all well and are staying safe.

Thanks,

Patrick

1.One of the greatest kings in the Anglo-Saxons is King Alfred the Great because he was the first Anglo-Saxon king to have defeated the Vikings.
2.The Anglo-Saxons lived in wooden houses with roofs made out of straw.
3.King Alfred the Great baptised Viking King Guthrum after King Alfred defeated the Viking.
    4.The Anglo-Saxons ruled Britain from 410AD to 1066AD (756 years).
5.The Anglo-Saxons came to an end in 1066 because the Norway King William the Conqueror defeated Harold II at the Battle of Hastings.

I did this in memory by the way.

Good work Yi-Sheng- you have been really showing an excellent attitude towards your learning and it does not surprise me that you were able to retrieve all of that information!
