Hello!
Thank you for the information you researched yesterday- as always, when I give you a task to do, I finish the day a much better educated individual!
Today I will be doing a ‘find the number’ challenge but i would like you to focus especially on the purple mash and mymaths work that I have set you. Also, I would like to see some emails with completed work from the maths challenge we set earlier this week! You are all capable of doing it so I look forward to seeing them.
Try to find this number:
You have all the information you need there so systematically go through what the number could be and answer below.
If you have any questions then comment below and enjoy the new chapter of our class book on purple mash!
Take care,
Patrick

Would you be able to explain why you think that using all of the clues within your explanation?
By the way… 8 days until weda’s birthday! Happy birthday!
Is it 13?It’s a prime number below 27,it adds up to 4 and it isn’t in the 11s.
Check the rules again Sophia- one of them isn’t correct!
Is it.. 31? If not i kind of don’t understand it, it’s kind of complicated
It is less than 3 cubed:
3x3x3=
9×3=27
So it is less than 27.
Now you know that it is less than 27, list the prime numbers below 27:
2,3,5,7,11,13,17,19,23
The answer from these numbers has to have its digits add up to 2. For instance for 23, you would add 2 and 3:
2+3=5 so 23 can not be the answer as the digits add up to 5 and not 2.
The answer has to have its digits add up to 2 and not be in the 11 times tables.
See if you can use the final two clues to get the answer from the options above.
If you still don’t get it then I shall put the answer in tomorrow!
Good luck!
Or not? Because if you do 2+2 you would get 4 and not 2. hm…
No it is- well done! As 2 is a single digit number you don’t have to add anything to it, so it remains as 2 and is the correct answer!
Good job Davmie.
Wait.So the whole time the answer was 2?How didn’t I get that so easily?
